Helping older Australians access the care they need

Many older Australians have built significant wealth in their homes but have limited cash flow available to fund aged care services, Residential Accommodation Deposits (RADs), home modifications or additional in-home support.
Inviva provides Home Equity Release solutions that enable Australians aged 55 and over to unlock the equity in their property without requiring regular repayments or proof of income, helping them access the care they need while remaining in control of their financial future.
By partnering with aged care providers, Inviva helps remove financial barriers that can delay care decisions, allowing families to focus on achieving the best outcomes for their loved ones.

Providing care without leaving home
Tom (78) and June (79) had been enjoying retirement in their family home in Boondall, QLD. In recent years, Tom's health declined significantly, and the couple made the difficult decision for him to move into a nearby aged care facility where he could receive the specialised support he needed.
While it was an emotional transition, June was determined to remain in the family home they loved, surrounded by close friends, neighbours and the community they had known for years. Staying nearby also meant she could regularly visit Tom and remain closely connected during this new stage of life. Their major concern was how they could afford aged care accommodation costs without being forced to sell the family home.
After speaking with an aged care advisor and understanding the funding options available, including the impact on their pension entitlements, Tom and June explored using an Inviva home equity release loan for aged care funding. By releasing $250,000 of equity from their home through an Inviva Home Equity Release Loan, they were able to pay the Refundable Accommodation Deposit (RAD) for Tom's aged care facility upfront.
The solution meant Tom could access the care he urgently needed, while June could continue living independently in the comfort and familiarity of home. Importantly, they avoided the stress of selling their property or dramatically changing their lifestyle during an already emotionally challenging time.
For Tom and June, the decision provided both emotional reassurance and financial flexibility when they needed it most.
